Common questions

Will I lose my tanks if I update? No. Updates keep your save. Deleting the app deletes it, so make a backup code first (Menu → Settings → Back up your tanks).

How do I move my tanks to a new phone? On the old phone, copy the backup code in Settings and send it to yourself. On the new phone, paste it under Restore a tank.

I’m not getting notifications. Check that notifications are allowed for Finside in your phone’s Settings, and that quiet hours in the game aren’t covering the time you expect them. Settings in the game also has a Test notification button.

Is the fishkeeping real? It’s based on real species and real fishkeeping, simplified for play. It isn’t professional advice for a real tank.
